How Can I Make The Ten Commandments Meaningful?

the ten commandments are “living” document. they are intended to be passed down from generation to generation.

we all journey through life. everyday, in our own lives, we have moments in which the ten Commandments applies. everyday, we see news articles in which the ten commandments applies. when we see stories of murder, theft, false accusations etc., we wonder whether things would be different if there was some adherence to the ten commandments. had our society placed more emphasis on the ten commandments, would things have been different?

we all evolve over the years. we understand and appreciate things differently. on a personal level, this applies. i see more in the commandments than i do in the past.

Over the years, my understanding of the Ten Commandments have evolved. The simplistic reduction of the Commandments in essence diluted their meaning.
