The Medical Profession Is All About Bad Medicine

the field of medicine’s fidelity to humanity is rapidly eroding. the recent lancet diabetes editorial illustrates the medical profession’s hubris. medicine is now merely the practice of socialism. the institution of medicine has abandoned their role of being the gatekeepers of health for our society. rather, medicine now merely serves the purpose of redistributing money.

medicine’s ramping up of unnecessary medical expenditures creates a pool of funds to play with. in this particular instance- the medical condition of diabetes- is within the cross hairs. the oppressor and the oppressed employed is racism. as we all know, the only true way to solve a blood glucose disorder is to exact social justice. from my conversation with a medical student about what is being taught at one of the finest institutions in the country, socialism appears to be a course of treatment.

the lancet editorial piece described the impending explosion of diabetes. the key line from the article is that “most of this burden is attributable to social risk factors—such as high bmi, dietary risks, environmental and occupational risks, tobacco use, alcohol use, and low physical activity—that thrive on the obesogenic way our environments are designed and the inequitable way we organise our resources and societies.” [emphasis added]

the reality of diabetes type ii increase is that the medical professional has failed. the initial diabetes treatment is the patient’s is diet. glucose gets into the blood by the consumption of food. the problem with this treatment course is that no money can be made or redistributed when the most effective treatment is food choice. excessive carbohydrate consumption and sugar intake are two major culprits. eliminate these items from one’s diet and magic begins to happen.

with this in mind, the true source of diabetes as a global medical problem began with the agricultural revolution that introduced increased carbohydrates into human diets. the farming of rice, wheat and potatoes have played a significant role in the medical condition. further, the reality is that everybody-the rich and poor, and all races and nationalities- have an unhealthy love of carbohydrates and sugar.

if medicine really was concerned about treating patients, the editorial would have addressed that there are cost effective ways of addressing diabetes treatment. promoting low carb diets, educating individuals on how to enjoy and maintain and low carb menu, and increasing availability of low carb items in markets and restaurants is real medicine as opposed to the practice of medical socialism.

author dennis pollock, as well as others, have provided unique clarity to the problem of diabetes and how it can be treated. with discipline and commitment, individuals can address this medical condition head on.

in sum, the lancet editorial is a text book example of how corruption of the science is leading to both bad medicine and the wasteful spending of resources.

be well!!
