Bloggers can face terrible consequences touching upon controversial topics. Suicide is the one upon which I believe that received a virtual flogging from the powers that control the internet.
A long time ago, I posted about an article that suggested that it was government policies that may have caused some rise in teen suicide. In essense, I reported on someone else’s work. Apparently, that topic apparently got me incarcerated somewhere on the web. Was it the Metaverse?
The topic relates to this blog site as it touches on the question of whether we are raising children who are devoid of purpose and goals. One can see that these new generations are so empty and they long to be of something that is trending. They yearn for attention and importance. Becoming viral life sustaining.
As with all of my current writings, I use the Jet Pak AI Assistant Feedback for curiosity’s sake. It tells me about what I am writing about and makes some constructive points, i.e. shorter sentences, more paragraphs, add more examples.
With my last post, however, the one on how assisted suicide is now officially life affirming care my AI feedback was different. It told me essentially that I was being “insensitive”. AI had problems with my “tone”.
Like any thinking human being, I concluded that this time “I must be doing something right!” Thus, ignoring the feedback, I published my piece.
So far, the article’s reception has been positive. Society needs to engage in a vigirous debate on this topic. I felt vindicated when I ran into a neighbor’s daughter who was in college. She was fully aware of the story and it concerned her. Essentially, the medical profession should not be sole arbiters upon how a society conducts itself on very important matters. There are many other shareholders who need to be involved in this controversial topic.
Apparently, just like those who control the content on the web, those who program Artificial Intelligence are offering their brush strokes on societal issues. A computer program, which was supposedly to assist in posting, is putting in two cents as far as what my belief system should be.
It is my contention that we are not only a world upon which there is a “slippery slope” upon which decisions lead to other consequences. Rather, questionable actions can institute a cruel game of chess in which moves can be made to justify the inconceivable. I have played out the notion of assisted suicide as life affirming care and have a very good notion to where it is leading. It is premature, however, to discuss my assertions.
In sum, as soon as I complete this conclusion, I am going to his the AI Feedback generator to see what it thinks. I am doing it right now. [The AI told me to be respectful and considerate. It told me to be mindful of social sensitivities]
