Going (Polemically) Postal In November

Jetpack Image Generator

In November, the Jetpak AI Image Generator Users got an early holiday gift. The updated program provides image style selections. Pictures can now be styled with themes ranging from the likes of Comic Book, Pixel Art to Fantasy Art. My first indulgence was to go “Anime” style.

Image generating instructions are now included. This descriptive verbiage created the the offered image. Knowing this, is a powerful tool to improve one’s AI instructions for improved imagery.

While there was much pre-holiday AI goodness, personally, there was AI horror. While generating a post’s image, I got Trudeaued.

Being Trudeaued isn’t a benign act. It isn’t the sick feeling one gets from watching a country’s leader abandon governance to attend a Taylor Swift concert. Rather, it is akin to be stifled by a totalitarian who freezes bank accounts of those who differ with him. My “paid for” AI demanded that I edit the post to get an image.

How could this happen? The problematic polemical post addressed child sacrifice. It was baffling as to how history’s most famous faith event- the Binding of Isaac-could be controversial and incur the wrath of censorship. The post admittedly referenced Peruvian archaeological discoveries involving ancient child sacrifices. The findings noted that the children’s hearts were ripped out. While this is certainly graphic, it proves the point. Humanity moved forward from this barbaric act; cultures can improve.

When attempting to generate the image, the AI’s message received was: ” An error occurred while generating the image. Please, try again! This request has been flagged by OpenAI moderation system. Please try to rephrase your post.”

The message offended my sensibilities. Enraged, I went postal!

November’s Posts

Ironically, November started off with another polemic. It was against verisimilitude. Many stories need no amplification or exaggeration. Hugging tight to the facts is a satisfying writing challenge.

Children’s Bible stories often omit that Abraham’s family had already planned to move to the Promised Land prior to the famous “Lech Lecha” moment. This article explored this wrinkle from a Ten Commandments’ perspective.

Baseball’s 2024 World Series created generational memories. While Freddie Freeman’s Gibsonian Home Run in the first game was more dramatic than The Natural, the Series 5th and final game was also memorable. The Los Angeles Dodgers cobbled runs by playing the game right. They capitalized on the Yankees’ mistakes. The game taught everyone that respecting the game and the fundamentals could take a team to the pinnacle of success. In essence, doing the little things matter. A lesson important to all children.

While many are astonished by viral events, overnight sensations often don’t occur overnight. Rather, they are the product of many years of hard work. The Artist Kiffness’ cat-chy feline inspired political satire tune about the Presidential Debate was a classic waiting to happen.

Culture Collision was the polemical post that made me postal. AI refusal to generate an image without revision led me to provide no image.

The post referenced the Peruvian Chimu culture. They sacrificed children and ripped their hearts out. These details were in accord with archaeological findings.

The Post was an interview with the Author of Who Really Wrote the Bible. Professor Schniedewind was gracious to answer questions about his book and the scribes of the Levant.

Sometimes it is worth contacting scholars and others to create improved content.

After writing this Post, it appears that Mr. Prager’s condition is far worse than imagined. Hopefully, he can recover and resume his work. I certainly hope that he be recognized for his lifetime of devotion towards the United States.

Deal making is an art. Thus, it is no surprise that negotiators evoked Abraham’s name to broker a Middle East Peace Treaty. The post tells of Abraham’s visionary approach towards deal making.

George Washington’s Thanksgiving address is an outstanding piece of writing which expresses the holiday’s values. Thus, while the election year was contentious, forgetting some things and remembering others was perhaps the best approach towards having a cordial gathering.

The Hebrew Bible and Ancient History have a unique relationship. Can the interplay explain why the Promised Land was in the Levant. Over time, it proved to be civilization’s highway. A place in which there many significant exchanges changed world history.

Be well!!
