thoughts are multi-sourced. cognition is shaped by the past, present and future. when my brother and i look at certain problems, often in unison we declare “things are the way they are because they are.” inevitability explains much.
the los angeles’ homelessness problem best illustrates the problem. it exists both by intent and fate. politicians’ motivations to solve the matter are non-existent.
often, liberal politicians’ motivations are transparent. bernie sanders’ venice beach presidential rally motivated the democratic run city to make the homeless population disappear. after all, how could a man of the people give a speech and be seen near -homeless- people! homeless people were removed and dumped elsewhere. democrats possess a demon’s like willingness to destroy a neighborhood’s quality of life. in another incident, a center divider’s sidewalk was skillfully excised of homeless when president joe biden’s son when he lived near venice canals. at one point, rather than helping the homeless, a los angeles mayor called out on residents to assist in the counting of homeless. numbers translate into money for politicians to squander. likewise, a new homeless tax on mansions will likely do little to serve the homeless. as illustrated, when motivated by self interest, liberals brutally deal with homeless people. dumping them elsewhere, even for a moment, is good governance.
focusing on the past, my thoughts are toward the bible as a reference source. thousands of years of both human nature and condition were reduced and captured within the text. likewise, the master of the universe’s eternal beliefs were expressed. from the bible, we learn that there will always be poor and those in need. while in the past, the loss of a parent, illness or aging made one needy, modern times poverty’s flammability is fueled by alcohol and drugs. past thinking gives the understanding that homelessness, to some degree, will always exist.
with the past and present addressed, thinking towards the future must be tackled. perhaps triage is the means to reduce the problem. separating the capable from the homeless rolls is one solution. mandating government supplied funds for housing first is another. removing government from the homeless business is recommended.
in sum, meaningful thoughts must be linear. while one can make an impression in the moment, reaching toward the past and the future can lead one to a complete understanding.
be well!!
