The South African (Not Elon) Who Was The Presidential Election Winner

The Harris-Trump Presidential Debate was a cat-astrophe for then Candidate Donald Trump. Frank Luntz, and other pundits, declared Mr. Trump’s rant over the immigrants of Springfield “eating the pets” as the final nail in the coffin to his campaign. The dream of a MAGA return to the White House was over.

This was mainstream media’s best effort to derail the Trump Train during the highly anticipated debate. The ABC Debate Moderators and (so called) Fact Checkers, at the moment, likely believed that their journalistic assassination attempt would take out the Orange Man. Shortly after the debate, however, Trump dodged a bullet. His rant somehow became a song, a hit music video and a dance. The viral tune racked up millions of view on the internet. What was to be a US Political Presidential debate low point somehow went sideways.

How and Why?

A South African (not named Elon) Kiffness is to blame. Long before The Donald’s rant, this Musician and Political Satirist’s reputation included making music with cat and dog sounds. Further, way before Kamala’s campaign was the vibes, Kiffness had audiences rocking out with his “vibing cat” videos.

In essence, Kiffness, in the moment, was the planet’s most qualified person to make mockery of the meltdown. He did. He penned and produced his “Eating the Cats” song and it became a hit. People, divorced from the intent or meaning of the political rhetoric, simply danced or sang the song. The song is so universally enjoyed that he recently performed it in Munich Germany.

While I am not privy to Kiffness’ intent on his song, his background gives us a clue. His love of pets, political punditry and humor is my guess. In essence, he connected with the American people’s base.

In an election involving world conflict, a terrible economy, and destructive progressive policies, the voting citizens needed some relief. Foolishness, a chuckle and the knowledge that the most demonized man on the planet cared about the pets was perhaps what Americans most needed.

Conclusion

In sum, while Donald Trump proved once again to be the master troll of the Democrat Party with his McDonald’s and Garbage Truck Operator stints, the South African artist Kiffness trolled the American Political system. He exposed American Political Buffoonery and united the masses. In the end, we all need humor and our furry friends.

Be well!!
