Project 2025

Anthony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within deserves credit for many of my life successes. Mr. Robbins’ goal setting methodology makes repeated achievement possible.

Thus, for 2025, the Ten Commandments Projects’ Robbinsesque goal ideas are laid out below. The blog’s overall agenda is to make posts that are universal or timeless.  Sometimes, however, pointed current events invite discussion.  For example, the controversy surrounding Luigi Mangione addresses important societal issues.

The following are 2025’s goals:

Weekly Torah Portion Commentary

In the past, the TCP’s weekly Torah Portion Commentary focused the text’s Ten Commandments’ connection. For a long time, I employed various English translations.  Recently, I have been concerned about uniformity as well as the translations’ accuracy.

Thus, Torah references moving will be using Richard Elliott Friedman’s Commentary on the Torah. It provides his English translation along with the Hebrew text.  This change is to create consistency.  Further, past Torah Portion posts may also be edited to address this change.

Survey of Ketuvim- Writings

Over the past years, Neviim- the Prophets- and the Jewish Apocrypha have been explored with respect to their Ten Commandments’ connections. This year, with the help of a new Artscroll set of Ketuvim, the survey project will continue.  For those unfamiliar with Artscroll, they produce quality leather bound books.  They are staples in many Orthodox synagogues.  Check out their website if you are interested.

Exploring the Truth about Health Care

The CEO of Unitedhealthcare’s assassination and the public’s reaction to it revealed an urgent need to offer enlightenment to the Health Care issue. With 35 years of a unique professional involvement within the system, I will address matters. This will include Universal Healthcare. The reality is the all parties participating in the system are responsible for its success or failure.

Book Reviews

Both books of the past and present will be explored. Beyond the reviews, I will attempt to get input from some of the authors.  Further, I intend on generating a reading list. The list will be grades with respect to whether they are an essential read or something else.

Conclusion

I would like to wish all of you a happy and healthy new year.  Hopefully, 2025 will be a year of ushering peace in a world that is too full of conflict.  Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome.

Be well!!
