The Cascade of Non-Compliance

for the purposes of this post, the failure to adhere to a commandment is to be considered as an act of non-compliance. from an observational standpoint, one act of non-compliance leads to a cascade of other acts or non-compliance.

for example, somebody maybe coveting an someone else’s possession. This coveting can result in individual stealing the object. this individual may turn around and lie about their theft and blame it upon someone else. in doing so, they may “swear” this lie on “a stack of bibles” that they are telling the truth. eventually, they get caught and their parents find out about their digression.

therefore, non-compliance with a commandment can take one into a rabbit hole of further non-compliance.

be well!
