Your Personal Moral Trainer? We Have Fitness Trainers, So Why Not Moral Trainers?

my knowledge of the late supreme court justice ruth bader ginsburg is quite limited. i got through some of the move about her life. i occasionally read articles about her. sadly, the one of the only things that really sticks out to me about her illustrious life is that she was a fitness fanatic and had a beloved personal trainer. according to an article, she stated that, mr. bryant johnson, her personal trainer, was “the most important person in her life.” justice ginsburg valiantly fought through many physical maladies with her personal trainer.

this wonderful relationship has brought me to think about the notion of personal trainers. why limit them to physical fitness? how about moral fitness trainers? can we all use someone who to encourage us to do another good deed? to fulfill commandment? why not? while we can sit, read and study the bible, there is need to translate the words into the actual world. while it may be edifying to read about commandments and rules that can make the world a better place to live in, it is another thing to enact them.

this blog is about “pumping” people up. so, let’s get out there and make the week fulfilling! push yourself to do one more “good” thing than you did last week. honor your mother and father by doing something for them. plan a special sabbath. make your week an extra productive “good” week. push yourself to do something a little better.

while a personal trainer may tell you to “give me five!,” this blog is about asking you to “give me ten!”

be well and have a wonderful week!
