Strap On Your Aluminum Foil Hat For A Meshuganah Theory About the Tenth Plague: A Ten Commandments’ Tale

“moses said, “so said the lord, at the dividing point of the night, i will go out into the midst of egypt, and every firstborn in the land of egypt will die, from the firstborn of pharaoh who sits on his throne to the firstborn of the slave woman who is behind the millstones, and every firstborn animal. ” exodus 11: 4-5

before going further with this post, please go to your kitchen, take out your aluminum foil, and make yourself a hat. you may be entering the realm of wackiness. perhaps, however, may be not.

the plague of the death of the first born could be viewed as fairy tale. the recent events, with covid-19, may give pause to think of it that way. for this discussion, however, i will limit the inquiry into first born humans and not animals.

recently, the notion that covid-19, was a man-made construct from the virology laboratories in the wuhan province of china. there was some logic to it. the fact that the pandemic’s origin was in the city were unique viruses were located and studied gives the theory credence additionally, the evidence suggests that the virus was of man-made construct and was not a naturally occurring phenomena.

thus, we can make the assertion that forces outside of nature can create a virus.

another notion has come out of covid-19. the virus was capable of impacting certain people worse than others. certain individuals had a greater likelihood of suffering from the effects of the infection versus others. cdc the centers for disease control notes certain racial or ethnic groups are a greater risk of getting sick and dying as a result of covid-19. further, individuals with certain medical conditions were at greater risk as well.

given these facts, it is time to get a little “meshuganah. ” per idioms/thefreedictionary.com, meshuggeneh is a yiddish term for crazy, foolish, idiotic, or senseless. it is a term so crazy that you can spell it multiple ways: ” “meshuganah,” “mashugana,” or “mashuganah.” in my family, if you were acting extremely, you would described a conducting oneself like a ” “meshuganah huunt”  or in english, like a crazy dog.

should covid-19, change our view of the tenth plague?

point one, it appears that there can be made-made or unnatural viruses which can cause a pandemic. point two, viruses target and can have disparate impact on specific populations. point three, with more data and research, it may be possible that a man-made virus can be refined for the purposes of targeting specific populations.

thus, given our scientific knowledge, the notion of a man-made plague targeting one ethnic/racial group and specifically the first born of one specific gender is now perhaps more plausible than implausible.

thus, human science research and technology, in a very scary way, has brought new life into the plausibility of the tenth plague.

please take off your aluminum foil hat off and enjoy the rest of your day!

be well!!
